Both courses were excellent with really great facilities and excellent step by step instructions which suited both complete beginners but also those with some experience. Uma’s teaching was really inspiring and thorough and I really enjoyed these courses and feel much more confident in my cake decorating skills after having attended. The level of preparation and care that goes into the course is staggering and Uma goes above and beyond to ensure that you learn a range of tips and tricks to take away with you. I have baked for years but thoroughly enjoyed learning all that I did and the bakes were utterly delicious. The variety of the course made each day a treat and the venue was a dream- beautiful candles all around and just a five minute walk from the beach- heaven! I have always struggled with gift giving and knowing that I have the skills to knock up a beautiful batch of cookies or cupcakes is a delight, as is being able to ice a tall cake with smooth fondant. The ganache aspect was so soothing. I enjoyed Fair Cake wedding cake course, it was brilliant. I must admit I did struggle at first with precision and working with fondant, as I had never done so before, but I am so grateful that I had such a calm, gentle and professional teacher named Uma. Uma took me every step of the way, encouraging me, elevating me and reassuring me. I gave it my all and I must say the end results had me amazed. Uma takes you step by step ensuring You understand, providing love demonstrations which are very clear bad concise. I will highly recommend individuals of all levels to trial her classes. Uma is very patient and kind. I was never made to feel uncomfortable whilst interacting with the class I wish fair cake the best and please if you’re looking to push your baking skills, here’s the place to try. She knows how to balance the right about of challenge and push. She’s a lovely teacher and highly knowledgeable. I would highly reccomend her courses. I spent a few hours learning to make macarons with Uma. Class was well-paced, excellent equipment, and the explanations clear and easy to follow, with the right balance of watching and hands on. I now feel qualified to continue on my own at home. Bonus was I got to bring plenty of delicious macarons home to share. The class was really interesting, I felt like I learnt so much and have so many new skills to take away and develop. I am a complete beginner and can’t believe I’ve learnt to decorate a cake so beautifully! Uma was so knowledgeable, really explained things thoroughly and with patience and was also so lovely to chat to throughout the day. I would highly recommend the course to anybody, it was so much fun! Purchased this lovely scented candle at a Christmas market. It smells just like a candy cane, and burns with a nice warm glow. I usually only work with sugarpaste covered cakes, so this was all brand new to me and I learned so much during the day. I was really pleased with the end result and that is entirely down to Uma's excellent teaching. She was patient, encouraging and super helpful throughout and I thoroughly enjoyed my day. I left keen to keep practicing at home and Uma made sure I had all the info I needed to get started. The class was held in a lovely venue, perfectly kitted out and very relaxing to work in. It's also very central within Brighton, making it very convenient and a great location to visit. Spent the day with Uma, learning how to make buttercream flowers. I've learnt loads and had such a lovely day. She was very attentive, happy to answer any questions. Had a fabulous day yesterday with Uma learning the art crafting a dripcake. Everything was well planned out, clearly explained and demonstrated, leading to us creating a beautifully appointed cake which not only looked fabulous but tasted delicious too.
