Come and join us for a day of decorating cookies and cupcakes.
This is the perfect way to spend the day decorating cookies and cupcakes. You will start the day by creating moulds and cut out flowers using florist paste. The teacher will demonstrate how to make Swiss Meringue Buttercream. You will then use this to decorate your cupcakes. After a 30 minute break, we will move on to decorating our cookies with the decorations made earlier on in the day.
Over the course of the day, you will learn how to:
- Make Swiss Meringue Buttercream to pipe swirls on your cupcakes.
- Royal Icing will be demonstrated to you and we will talk through the different consistencies of royal icing for borders, flooding and over piping. We will use royal icing to pipe details on the cookies and cupcakes.
- Make cutout decorations using florist paste
- Cover cookies with fondant
- Paint small details with edible lustre dust

You will go home with:

6 cupcakes ( 3 with fondant tops and 3 with piped swirls) and 6 cookies decorated by you!

The class runs from 10.30 am to 5 pm.
All ingredients and equipment, including transport boxes, for your cake course are provided, you do not need to bring anything with you. The teacher will ensure that you work at a pace suitable for you.
This class is suitable for complete beginners. However, if in doubt, please call us on 02083051756 to discuss before you book a place. Teachers for each day are subject to change.
Please note that we do NOT allow video recording of our classes, either full or any element.
