Our ganache plates make it effortless to produce a ganache finish on any cake, it’s a must-have for cake artists and baking perfectionists – especially whilst hexagons and geometric themes are bang on trend!
These sets of ganache plates range in sizes from 6″ to 14″, catering to any size and design you have in mind. Each plate measures 5mm thick. Each pack includes 2 plates of your chosen size.
How do they work?
So simple, but so clever!
By placing a ganache plate on top of your cake, and one at the bottom, you can use them as a guide when smoothing ganache, buttercream and royal icing around the edges of your cakes, ensuring smooth, flawless results. It’s so easy, it’s literally a piece of cake.
When finished, your ganache plates can be removed, washed, and used again for future projects.
These plates are made from 100% food safe clear acrylic.
Please note, these sizes are measured from flat-to-flat, NOT point-to-point. Due to this, you may need to buy a larger tin to account the way these are measured (most tin sizes measure from point-to-point).

Learned a lot and definitely feel more prepared when it comes to decorating cakes! Our instructor, Uma, had a very bad injury, and she still gave it her 200% and managed to work through the pain just to share her knowledge! Another plus, Brighton is such a delightful place to visit! Recommend 100%

The instructor was fantastic, guiding her every step of the way as she created a stunning cake adorned with beautiful flowers. Seeing her excitement and pride in her creation was priceless 😊 She's already talking about signing up for another day course, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you Uma!!

Uma is a wonderfully lovely lady, brought not just her expertise but also patience and thoroughness to the session. Her approach to teaching is both inspiring and encouraging, making complex techniques seem achievable for decorators at any level. What stood out to me was the depth of knowledge shared throughout the course. The hands-on session was incredibly valuable, offering us ample opportunity to refine our skills under her attentive guidance. The course was structured in a way that built our confidence step by step. Starting from the basics, we gradually moved to more intricate designs, learning not just how to create beautiful flowers but also how to arrange them artistically on cakes. By the end of the course, I was amazed at how much I had learned. I left feeling equipped with the skills and confidence to create stunning buttercream flowers on my own. This course is a must for anyone looking to elevate their cake decorating skills. I cannot recommend it highly enough – an educational and enjoyable experience from start to finish! Tracy Deno20/10/2023I just finished up the 5 module online class and really enjoyed it! I am just getting into cake decorating, but found the course to be very helpful and easy to understand. Beyond the beautiful cakes and frostings, there are so many little tips and tricks to help with consistent results, which is what we're all trying to achieve. I am in the US, so there are differences in some of our ingredients, but I just googled substitutions. I hope to attend a class in person, because Uma and her team were a delight to learn from.
Mei Tsang20/10/2023I have had the most fantastic week doing the vegan cake baking and decorating course. Uma is an excellent teacher - well organised, patient, and great to chat to. She took the time to demonstrate and explain everything clearly and in detail, and I have learnt so many new techniques and tips to elevate my bakes! I would highly recommend to anyone looking to explore vegan and free from cakes!
nana adwoa baafi12/10/2023I took the cake baking and decorating class and would say it’s an excellent class, but only if you have some baking experience. Uma is extremely organized and obviously knows her craft. Join the course if you’re a bit rusty and need a refresher or want to improve your cake decorating skills. Just note that it’s NOT a beginner’s class. As someone who has never baked before, my inexperience was quite pronounced in class and the pace leaned towards those who were more experienced. There was very little room for mistakes, hence a lot of pressure to get things right, even at the first try. In future I suggest the trainer hires an assistant who can take off some pressure and give some support to those who are inexperienced. Nonetheless, I’ll recommend - only if you have experience and are looking for a brush up.
Clare Brown22/09/2023I spent the week doing the Modern Wedding Cakes course and had an absolute BLAST. Uma is a fantastic teacher and I learned so much and had loads of fun. Would recommend to absolutely anyone regardless of skill level. I feel much more equipped to make my sister’s wedding cake next summer and have so many new skills to show off :)
Andrea Remedios19/09/2023I attended the Ganache master class in Sept’23 and I have to say that I feel very confident on learning a new skill. Uma is a brilliant tutor. She is very organised and patient and makes sure you have understood the techniques involved to master the skill. I highly recommend Fair Cakes and I will definitely be doing more courses and learning new cake decorating skills from Fair cakes in the future as they have exceeded my expectations! Thanks Uma.
