Burning your candle: For best results let the first burn last for approx 2 hours to ensure even burning. Trim wick to approximately 5 mm between each use.

The class was really interesting, I felt like I learnt so much and have so many new skills to take away and develop. I usually only work with sugarpaste covered cakes, so this was all brand new to me and I learned so much during the day. I was really pleased with the end result and that is entirely down to Uma's excellent teaching. She was patient, encouraging and super helpful throughout and I thoroughly enjoyed my day. I left keen to keep practicing at home and Uma made sure I had all the info I needed to get started. The class was held in a lovely venue, perfectly kitted out and very relaxing to work in. It's also very central within Brighton, making it very convenient and a great location to visit. I am just getting into cake decorating, but found the course to be very helpful and easy to understand. Beyond the beautiful cakes and frostings, there are so many little tips and tricks to help with consistent results, which is what we're all trying to achieve. I am in the US, so there are differences in some of our ingredients, but I just googled substitutions. I hope to attend a class in person, because Uma and her team were a delight to learn from.
