Roses and Buttercream
Learn how to create exceptional, life-like roses in just one day! Whether you wish to be the toast of the tea party, or plan to set up a business and want to master one of our most requested and breathtaking decorations, this class will not fail to deliver. Once you have mastered the rose using our method, you can transfer your skills to create a variety of flowers.
One of our most popular and long-running classes, “Roses & Buttercream” focuses solely on the decorative side of cupcake making. Fear not though, as the baking will be going on in the background and you are more than welcome to ask any questions about our methods, ingredients and equipment.
Whilst you perfect your new flower making skills, we will demonstrate our recipe and techniques for making consistently divine buttercream. We will also show you how to make our luxurious alternative, Swiss Meringue Buttercream. There will be plenty of opportunity to sample both and determine your favourite! We then demonstrate how to use them to pipe perfect swirls and tops. Finally, you decorate a dozen cupcakes with your hand-made flowers, pack them up with your beautiful rose and take them home to eat or flaunt as desired!
This class focuses on advancing your decorating skills, but it is suitable for all levels. Your day will consist of:
